Jared Owen
The Bryan, Texas community is mourning the unexpected loss of Jared Owen, a beloved father, husband, and friend whose light touched countless lives. Jared was more than family to many; to some, he was the brother they never had. His vibrant personality and zest for life were evident in everything he did—from football games and IMEX Fight Club sessions to the simple joy of cutting down random trees or slicing fruit with a sword. He was a man of traditions and meaningful connections, whether it was sharing a cigar, giving a heartfelt confession, serving as best man at weddings, or simply offering guidance to those around him.
Jared’s life left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Through his example, countless young men grew closer to Jesus, inspired by his faith, integrity, and the way he lived intentionally for others. He was a light in the world, a source of encouragement, laughter, and unwavering support. Every shared moment—big or small—was a reflection of his love, kindness, and the care he extended to those around him.
In honor of Jared Owen, we are called to carry forward his legacy: to keep Jesus at the center of our lives, to love others deeply, and to cherish every moment with friends and family. Forgive quickly, embrace the present, and allow the lessons of his life to inspire our daily actions.
